About Tonja

Welcome to a journey of self-discovery and healing. Yoga is not just a practice —it’s a way of life, offering profound tools to navigate the challenges and beauty of the human experience. Yoga connects the physical and subtle bodies in a union that is both grounding and expansive—you can’t truly embrace one without the other.
My path to yoga was filled with exploration. After trying various styles, I discovered Kundalini Yoga and felt an instant, transformative connection. It resonated deeply, unlocking the mysteries of my subtle body and revealing powerful inner growth. Years of practice led me to take a leap into teacher training under the guidance of Prana Jio in Freiburg, Germany. To deepen my understanding of the body-mind connection, I also completed Yin Yoga teacher training with Yoga Community Basel.
As a mother and a seasoned Kindergarten teacher, it was only natural for yoga to weave its way into my work with children. This inspired me to pursue a Kids Yoga teaching qualification with the “Groovy Kids Yoga” program by Greville Henwood. Now, I’m on the cusp of completing a transformative 5-year journey toward my 500-hour (L2) Kundalini Yoga Practitioner certification.
Teaching Kundalini, Yin, and Kids Yoga allows me to bring a unique, multifaceted perspective to my classes. When I’m not teaching or meditating, I’m out in nature—hiking, foraging, or tending to my herbal magic garden.
Being from Finland, my connection to nature is deeply rooted. The forest is my sanctuary, my church, and my inspiration. In my classes, I love weaving in Nordic mythology and the wisdom of the natural world, creating a space that honors balance, growth, and connection.
I look forward to sharing this journey with you and helping you discover your path to inner peace and self-healing.
